Texas Bans Gay Divorce

As confusing as that sounds, you read it right.

A judge in Austin granted Angelique Naylor and the woman she married in Massachusetts a divorce, but then Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott turned around and is appealing the decision.

It’s all about ‘protecting the definition of traditional marriage’, says Abbott.

They don’t want you gettin’ married if you’re gay and living on Texas soil. But they’re darn tootin’ not going to let you split up either.

This is almost as confusing as Tea Partiers who want their Social Security and Medicare but don’t want to pay taxes.

Texas. Taxes. Ok. It all makes sense now. Same word. Different letter placement.

Texas has long been a bastion of idiocy.

No words are needed. The story speaks for itself.

How can a state that isn’t required to even recognize the marriage allowed to make it illegal for divorce?
